While some people love a huge, over-the-top public display of affection to pop the question (like what this guy did for his girlfriend), I'm a bigger fan of something really personal and romantic.
At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter how it happens, just that both parties involved end up happy. However, I'm a sucker for a surprise proposal and this next video might just take the three-tiered cake.
Flash mobs like this epic New York City proposal are always fun and memorable, but these days they can feel just a tiny bit cliché. Once a stranger starts singing or dancing in a public place, the future fiancé usually knows what's about to go down…but I give major credit to Anthony, who orchestrated this proposal for his girlfriend, Stephanie.
Anthony knew he wanted to really knock Stephanie off her feet, so he arranged for a meeting with her friends, where she thought her best friend Jenny was getting proposed to by her boyfriend. Anthony had strangers give Jenny roses, a busker sing a song called "Marry Me," and even had acrobats start flipping around. It wasn't until Stephanie started actually seeing signs that she realized it was all just a clever ploy from her boyfriend of 10 years!
How sweet is this proposal? Jenny's a good friend for playing along and Stephanie is one lucky lady… He loves her so much!
