When it comes to musical performances, it can’t get much better than a duet between Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty. Not only are they magical songwriters, but they’re pretty entrancing performers to watch as well.

This clip of them performing “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” in the ’80s is special in more ways than one. From the timbre of their voices blending together beautifully to the theatrical stares that Nicks gives Petty throughout the song to the overall musical delivery, this is a duet to remember.

All of these elements play a wondrous part in making what they’re singing about completely believable. The song essentially being about love and demanding for it to be sans nonsense. The emotion these amazing artists exude is reminiscent of that of Tammy Wynette’s performance of “Stand By Your Man.”

This magnificent duo is a musical match, and they sure know how to command the stage. Their performance sheds light on how natural it can be to perform when musicians have been performing for a while, and when they’re as talented. They show their comfort with one another effortlessly, and it’s beautiful to be apart of it as an observer.
