Stevie Nicks Beautifully Performs Christmas Classic ‘Silent Night’ In 1989

Stevie Nicks has a voice that no other singer can hope to match. She has the perfect mixture of raspy edge and innocent sweetness with every note. That's what helped secure her a spot in one of the world's most legendary bands, Fleetwood Mac, back in the 1970s. Originally, founding members Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, and wife Christine McVie only asked for Nicks' then-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham to join the group. But thanks to the guitarist's insistence that they hear her out, they all soon found worldwide fame with their iconic albums.

After the infamously tumultuous band split, Nicks continued to sell out shows performing her solo hits. In 1989, she traded in her "Wild Heart" for a Christmas classic. Dressed in her characteristically bewitching scarves and flowing gowns, she stuns the audience with this gorgeous rendition of "Silent Night."

Even her ultra-'80s, mega-poofy hairstyle can't distract from those powerful pipes. The dreamy stage decor adds the perfect touch of ethereal elegance one can always expect from this talented woman. I only wish she would have done a few of her trademark twirls, too!
