Sting Falls In Love With Lady Gaga’s Rendition Of Award-Winning Song

It's a proven fact: The annual Kennedy Center Honors showcases extraordinary talent paying tribute to legendary artists. The incredible performance you're about to see is no exception. In 2014, singer/songwriter Sting was one of the honorees, and who better to pay tribute to the famed musician than his friend and respected singer in her own right, Lady Gaga.

Instead of showing up on stage in one of her crazy outfits, Gaga opted for a more simplified look — a sparkling silver suit and wig — and instead made it all about the music. She chose to honor Sting by belting out a powerful version of "If I Ever Lose My Faith in You," which Sting released in 1993. The following year, the song won him a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Performance.

As you'll see, Sting became overwhelmed pretty early in the performance, and so moved at the 2:20 mark that tears were in his eyes. It's easy to see that Gaga's energy and emotion filled him with pride in and gratitude for his massively successful career.
