Stonehenge is one of the most mysterious places in the world. A few years back, footage surfaced online that has since been seen over four million times. At around the 16-second mark, the shadowy figure of a little boy appears against one of the center rocks. It's said to have been a spirit roaming around the ancient site, but then again… it could be the work of a sneaky Photoshopper…
This footage was shot by a cameraman, who apparently didn't spot the ghostly apparition until the clip was being reviewed for editing. The person who uploaded the video says, "There is no question now that the little boy spirit comes out to play in the day light."
Stonehenge is a prehistoric structure that stands in Wiltshire, U.K. There has been much speculation as to who built this structure and why. The most popular theory is that ancient druids built Stonehenge for ritualistic purposes. However, newer evidence claims it was built 1500 years before the druids arrived in that area.
According to ParanormalStories.com, radiocarbon-dating has established that Stonehenge was used as a cemetery from around its inception about 3000 BC. Some theorize it was a grave site for the ancient British royals and other elite society members.
The activity that has taken place at the Stonehenge site since its creation is shrouded in mystery — people claim they've seen everything from dancing giants to UFOs.
We’ve seen videos like this one before, and people usually go wild for them. In 2009, a man uploaded surveillance footage from Disneyland when a faint figure walks down the path in the middle of the night. But of course, the YouTube commenters are torn. Some people think a scary ghost is at hand, and that the rocks appear to be moving. Others believe it's clearly fake and attribute the "ghost" to Photoshop skills.
