It always pays to have a quick thinking friend around in sticky situations. When you become frazzled and your adrenaline starts to rush, it can be hard to think clearly which sometimes leads to an even worse situation than you were in before.
Staying calm in a bad or scary situation is not always easy, but there are people who are able to do it and do it very well. This is the type of person that everyone needs as a best friend, because with them by their side, you will always know that things are going to work out.
While people who possess these traits would make a good fit in just about any job, they tend to really shine when it comes to public service, safety, and especially rescues.
When a woman found her baby unresponsive, one level headed and extremely calm police officer was the one to get the little girl to start breathing again, and he was also the one to provide comfort to the mother and calm her down.

When the man in this video came across ten duckings trapped in a storm drain, there was only a limited amount of time before they would be gone for good. After trying a crow bar and even a forklift to open the drain, he didn't get frustrated or angry or give up… he stayed calm and thought of his next plan.
Using a fishing net and a whole lot of patience, he was able to rescue each and every one of the ducklings, reuniting them with a very worried mamma duck!
