Nicolaus Wegner loves capturing epic photos of storms. While storms can be pretty scary, they can also make for stunning landscape photography…especially if they involve someone in the foreground.
In this case, that special someone is Nicolaus' wife, Daow, a fellow photographer and the star of their latest photo series, "Beauty and the Beast."
Daow and Nicolaus of Casper, Wy. work together as the self-proclaimed "creative and fun" photography duo, LightAlive Photography. As a team, they capture everything from weddings to scenic Wyoming landscapes.
In "Beauty and the Beast," Daow, the "beauty," stands bravely in front of dangerous storms, or "beasts," brewing on the horizon.
To get these breathtaking shots, the couple uses forecast tools to predict and chase down the storms, and the results are nothing short of spectacular.
"I'm a little nervous sometimes – but I find the experience exciting and scary at the same time," Daow told ABC News. "Life is short so I try to enjoy the moment."
