New York can be a cold and miserable city sometimes, so little acts of kindness are generally warmly received. Whether it’s smiling at a stranger, helping someone in need, or buying coffee for the person in line behind you (unless you're Peter Schorsch).
Remember these ridiculous pirates in Central Park who made a bunch of tourists’ day? They spent the day paddling around the water and “yarr”-ing at strangers, all in good fun, and prove how a small gesture can brighten someone’s day.
The stars of the video you’re about to watch below get the ride of a lifetime as they board their regular subway trains and suddenly find themselves in a dance club, complete with flashing lights and techno music!
“Riding the New York Subway is like walking into a freezer,” starts the video. “It’s cold. People don’t engage one another. We often avoid making eye contact with others.” So true. “So we decided to “warm” things up by… throwing a DJ dance party!”
Check it out for yourself. Keep an eye out for an elderly woman who breaks it down around the 1:10 mark. So cute!
