Subway Performer Stops Commuters In Their Tracks With A Cover Of Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’

Extraordinary talent lives and breathes everywhere in the streets of NYC. Whether that’s at an open mic event or an impromptu subway station performance, it’s amazing how talented and creative people can be.  For this gentleman, his voice is a prime example of the many rare talents the city has to offer.

It’s in the 86th Street subway station in Manhattan where this incredible subway performer graced the ears of many commuters and onlookers with this beautiful rendition of Adele’s song, “Someone Like You.”

He started off singing a cappella and took his time with really feeling out the melody and lyrics. When he started playing the drum with his hands, the texture added a beautiful undertone to his singing that really gave his performance a unique element.

You can tell from the sound of his voice, how seasoned it is and how well controlled it is, that he’s an experienced performer. That, and taking on an Adele song is always a daring choice, being that most of her ballads are pretty vocally demanding.

Regardless of his musical prowess, this video is remarkable in that commuters actually take time to listen to the talent this man has to offer.

It’s always a beautiful sight to see others put aside time for someone else.

All in all, his performance was definitely worth a listen, and I’m so happy that his voice can be heard all throughout the internet.
