France was poised to win the Europe 2016 Final against Portugal. In fact, the French managed to beat the Germans, who are well known for their skills, so it really seemed to the French people as if they were going to win this year. But as things go, nothing is assured, and when Portugal ended up winning instead, thousands of French fans were heartbroken.
One man captured on film was caught openly weeping at the loss. And with his head hung low and his face buried in his hand, he didn't realize that a young Portuguese boy had walked up to him to talk to him. This little boy might be young, but it seems that he knows the true meaning of "good sportsmanship." He didn't taunt the heartbroken fan at his lowest moment, and he didn't even talk about the game. All he wanted was to console the man and give him a hug.
The French fan, even in his state, also knows the importance of sportsmanship. He leaned over for that hug and kissed the young boy on the head. They might have been enemies on the soccer field, but in real life they're friends forever!
