It's no secret that police officers have one of the most difficult and dangerous jobs on the planet.
Besides having to judge when to make an arrest and what the right move actually is, like this kind officer did for a single father in need, cops are always going to have more than a few people hating on them for no good reason.
We've seen this time and time again in the past year alone, and it's been so heartbreaking for me to hear people bash hardworking, brave police officers for a couple of "bad" cops' mistakes. There's no denying that there are countless cops who go above and beyond the call of duty, especially NYPD officers like this man. Although I would never, ever speak badly about the NYPD or cops anywhere in the U.S. without knowing their situation, I have to admit that what happens in this next video made my jaw drop.
In this video from AJ+, we see a group of Swedish police officers on vacation in New York City who were riding the subway when a nasty fight broke out between two men. Instead of waiting for the NYPD to arrive at the next stop, the officers risked their own safety by jumping in and peacefully breaking up the fight. Although one of the man cries out that he can't breathe, the off-duty officers assure him that he is going to be OK as the cameras roll.
The cops are being commended for setting an amazing example not just for police officers in our country, but people everywhere.
