When you think of Guns N' Roses, the sounds of guitars and Axl Rose's unmistakable voice probably come to mind. But after hearing this version of this famous song, I'll never be able to listen to it the same way again!
Cathie King isn't a rockstar in the traditional sense of the word, but she definitely knows how to use her violin to deliver an amazing new spin on the most unexpected songs. Just like when these high-schoolers used their violins to perform an incredible cover of Avicii's "Wake Me Up," Cathie delivers absolute perfection in her cover of "Sweet Child O' Mine." And even crazier is that she manages to play all of the parts of the song by herself!
Honestly, the last time I was so impressed by a violinist was when I was introduced to the unbelievable Lindsey Sterling. I wouldn't be surprised if Cathie herself becomes outrageously famous one day. And it looks like she's off to a good start — Guns N' Roses themselves shared her cover of their famous song!
The violin is a pretty difficult instrument to play, so the fact that Cathie can do it so well and provide us with this spine-tingling performance is truly an awesome accomplishment. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for this talented musician!
