For a Las Vegas taxi driver named Pedro, making ends meet is tough, sometimes. He's been on the job for almost 20 years and works six days a week to support his family and to pay the bills.
Despite his hard work, he ended up months behind on payments for his house. Recently, he even got a foreclosure notice in the mail.
Incidentally, he ended up telling one of his passengers about his troubles while driving him to the airport. He didn't know the man, nor did he recognize him.
If he had, he would have realized that his customer was Quincy Amarikwa, a professional soccer player for the San Jose Earthquakes.
After hearing all of his cab driver's issues, Quincy couldn't leave without giving him a very generous tip of $2,200, which changed Pedro's life. In his entire career, he has never experienced something like this before!
He tells ABC 13 Action News, "I think it was luck, and God too… because this doesn't happen all the time," said Pedro. "It was real. I still don't believe it."
Quincy reportedly told Pedro that all he wanted to come out of his check was for the grateful man to pay it forward.
