Taylor Swift is one of the biggest stars in the world, but she never forgets the people who made that possible — her fans.
The multiplatinum singer has built a strong relationship with her millions of supporters all over the globe by communicating with them frequently on social media.
Over the holidays, she took it a step further by shipping gifts with handwritten letters to some of her most devoted fans.
But when Swift announced that her mother was diagnosed with cancer, two of her biggest fans decided to do something really special for her.
For three months, two sisters from Salt Lake City — Sam Brady, 11, and Jo Brady, 8 — folded 1,989 (to coincide with Swift's birth year and the name of her fifth studio album) origami cranes. According to an ancient Japanese legend, anyone who does this will be granted one big wish.
“First we were going to wish for tickets to your concert, but when we found out that your mom was diagnosed with cancer, we thought that we should probably wish for her to get better and kick cancer’s butt,” one of the girls explain in the YouTube video below. “My mom will be shipping the cranes to you to give to your mom.”
And just wait till you see the 1989 paper cranes pour over them at the :45 mark!
Please SHARE their beautiful gesture with all the Taylor Swift fans you know!
