There have been tons of conversation surrounding Lizzo's "Truth Hurts" lately. But one thing there is no confusion about is the fact that it's a purely incredible song. People are all about it for so many reasons, but they also love revamping it, too. One teacher recently did just that to empower her students to live up to their potential, and the internet went crazy for it. And with good reason! The lyrics are super creative, and the video couldn't be cuter.
In the video, you can see the teacher, Dorothy Mallari, dancing on the desk and singing along with her second graders at a school in Pittsburg, California. The lyrics are totally clever, including lines like, "I just took a ELA test, turns out I'm 100% that smart!"
We're guessing she may have imagined she'd have at least a few fans when the video was shared, but she probably didn't think she'd make a fan out of Lizzo herself. That's exactly what happened, though, because Lizzo tweeted out the video, saying just how much she loved it. "This IS the best thing I've watched today," Lizzo tweeted about the viral video. We so agree! Lizzo must love that the song seems have the power to do good just about everywhere it goes.
There are simply so many reasons to love this. The cute singing kids. The singing. The dancing. That familiar beat! Take a look and see for yourself.
