This fascinating story comes to us from our friends at AOL.com.
A parent's post on Reddit about a note from their child's teacher is warming hearts everywhere.
Reddit user swear_words_and_smut reposted the typed note left on his daughter's desk. According to the post, each child received one. He said that the kind words "applied to all of us."
The note reads:
To my students:
Welcome to the Fourth Grade.
I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. If you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, and changing your world.
You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're doing something!
Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or that it isn't perfect. Whatever it is you're scared of doing, DO IT.
Make your mistakes, next year and forever. That's how we learn. It is going to be a great year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. D.
