‘Teen Mom 2′ Star Jenelle Evans’ Kids Removed From Home After Husband Shoots And Kills Pet Dog

Jenelle Evans continues to face the fallout from her husband's actions. Jenelle's husband, David Eason, shot and killed the family dog after it allegedly bit their 2-year-old daughter, Ensley, in the face. Jenelle confirmed the incident with a tribute to her dog on Instagram the following day. Jenelle's other two children, 9-year-old Jace and 4-year-old Kaiser, were in the home at the time of the incident. Kaiser's father, Nathan Griffith, called 911 for a wellness check to be performed on Kaiser as a result of the incident. Police determined the child was safe.

The incident didn't end there, however. David had already been fired from Teen Mom 2 as a result of a series of homophobic tweets last year, and now MTV has also decided to let Jenelle go. North Carolina Columbus County Child Protective Services has also gotten involved, removing Jace and Kaiser from the home pending an investigation of the incident, according to TMZ.

An incident involving Jenelle Evans' husband, David Eason, and her family dog is costing the reality star big time. It all began when it was revealed that David shot and killed Jenelle's dog, Nugget, because the dog nipped at their 2-year-old daughter, Ensley.

David posted a video of the incident to justify his actions, although it doesn't appear the French bulldog broke any skin when nipping at the little girl. Jenelle's two other children, Jace and Kaiser, were in the home at the time.

As word got out of what happened, Jenelle's ex and Kaiser's father, Nathan Griffith, called 911 to request a wellness check on Kaiser. The boy was determined to be safe. Police didn't investigate the dog matter at the time.

As a result of the incident, Jenelle has been fired by MTV. The relationship between the two was already contentious, as MTV had already severed ties with David last year after a series of homophobic tweets. He then tried to make it impossible for them to film Jenelle's story without him present.

In a statement obtained by People, MTV revealed where it stands with Jenelle:

“MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since. Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019, and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season.”

An investigation into David shooting the dog is now underway, courtesy of North Carolina Columbus County Child Protective Services. TMZ reported that CPS has removed Jace and Kaiser from the home pending the investigation.

Jenelle does not have primary custody of 9-year-old Jace. Her mother, Barbara, has custody, while Jenelle has visitation rights. CPS has discontinued Jace visiting Jenelle's home.

Kaiser is currently with Nathan and Nathan's mother after being removed from Jenelle's home. Jenelle and David still have custody of Ensley and David's daughter, Maryssa.

Jenelle spoke to Us Weekly about the situation, explaining: "Kaiser was taken away Friday without my consent, before Mother’s Day, and I have been in touch with my lawyer pertaining this matter. Kaiser was taken from his daycare by his grandmother with no notice or call to me."

According to Jenelle, she has yet to see paperwork from CPS. "CPS told Doris [Nathan's mother] to take Kaiser without my consent and still have no legal paperwork signed by the judge stating my kids are taken from me," she told Us Weekly.

Jenelle added that there's no legal basis for Jace being removed from her. Rather, she believes it is her mother's doing, saying, "My mom is keeping Jace from me, nobody else. I only had Ensley with me for Mother’s Day this year. And my mom is taking it out on me for being let go from MTV."

Jenelle is also dedicated to working on her marriage. Despite previous reports that she was considering divorce, she now explains the couple is considering their options. "My relationship with David now is still in a healing process, of course,” she noted. “We are going to start going to marriage counseling because he feels as if we both need it. I completely agree. Not considering divorce unless he refuses counseling with me."

Jenelle has lost the support of many of her fans, who believe that violence against an animal should have been the last straw. It's far from the first time David has exhibited concerning behavior.

Others fear for Jenelle's safety and that of the remaining children in the house. They worry David could eventually turn the violence on his wife and kids.
