They Look Like Ordinary Child Mannequins, Then You Notice All The Girls Are Pregnant

In Caracas, Venezuela, teen pregnancy is rapidly climbing. Every three seconds, another girl under the age of 18 years old gets pregnant.

Unfortunately, the rising problem is considered taboo. Teen pregnancy is just one of those darker topics that parents and their children will not discuss.

This lack of necessary conversations is what caused the issue to escalate to its eerie height in the first place.

Recognizing this, two local charities made it their objective to get parents and children talking. They also sought to have adults speak to other adults about the growing problem in their country.

Looking to foster change, the two charities joined forces to create a mall window display unlike any other.

Staring outside the glass window into the heart of a Caracas shopping center stood a few child-size mannequins. They were all geared up in school attire, but something seemed a little off.

The mannequins had full, expecting stomachs, differentiating them greatly from the regular child mannequins in school uniforms.

Mallgoers were in for a shock as they passed the display. They couldn't seem to look away from the pregnant schoolgirl mannequins, some even snapping pictures of the plastic statement pieces.

The reaction to the display definitely got people talking. Hopefully their conversations will make teen pregnancy a more urgent topic of discussion.
