Teen Waitress Shows Kindness To Frail Man Without Knowing A Stranger’s Photo Will Lead To $16K

A 78-year-old man went to grab breakfast at a Waffle House in La Marque, Texas. He sat at the counter trying to cut his plate of ham, but his hands were weak and not functioning well.

That's when the man's teenage server, Evoni Williams, casually took matters into her own hands — not thinking it would get so much attention.

Another Waffle House customer named Laura Wolf noticed Evoni's kind act and secretly snapped a photo. "I don’t know her name but I heard this elderly man tell her his hands don’t work too good. He was also on oxygen and struggling to breathe," Laura wrote on Facebook.

"Without hesitation, she took his plate and began cutting up his ham. This may seem small but to him, I’m sure it was huge. I’m thankful to have seen this act of kindness and caring at the start of my day while everything in this world seems so negative. If we could all be like this waitress & take time to offer a helping hand…"

Laura didn't expect her photo to go viral with tens of thousands of likes.

Days later, Evoni — who was working at Waffle House to save her money for college — was brought to tears. The chain of kindness was circling back, and this time she was the recipient.
