There is a lot of ghost footage floating around the Internet, and I just never know whether to believe it or not.
On the one hand, some of it is pretty compelling, like this totally crazy footage that a man captured deep in the Russian forest. There’s even some film captured that’s so ordinary that it seems like it must be real, like this clip of boys swimming with an eerie ghostly companion.
But a lot of it is just too indistinct to mean much, like the dozens of videos floating around that are just orbs of light or obvious camera tricks. It’s hard to take a video as incontrovertible proof of the paranormal without a little bit more to go on!
That’s why the following footage spooked me to my core. It’s always hard to tell if these things are faked, but honestly, this looks pretty real. And the boys’ reactions? They put sheer terror in my heart.
The group of teenage boys seems to have broken into an abandoned building to explore; audible in the background of the clip is what sounds like the call to prayer from a mosque. The building, which looks like it may have once been a school, is totally empty. At first, they don’t find much. Then, around 2:10, they reach the second floor, and something chilling is waiting for them.
