If you've ever lost your wallet before, you know how much of a hassle it is to replace everything that was lost. However, some things can't be replaced, like all the cash that may have been inside.
So when one struggling single mother lost a wallet containing $300, she was devastated. It was all she had, and everything she needed was in that wallet.
Meanwhile, teen Peter Gaddy and his sister Chloe Houk stopped by a gas station to pick up some supplies. While there, they happened to find the mom's cash-filled walled lying on the ground.
As soon as they saw what was inside (including the individual's social security number), they decided that they needed to return the wallet to its owner.
They weren't successful, as the address they found was that of an apartment complex. Instead, they turned it in to police, who were able to complete their mission for them.
The single mom was beyond thankful for the teens' honesty.
Sgt. Anthony Gibbs, the officer who returned the wallet, told KOCO 5 News, "She was extremely relieved and excited, but also thankful that the kiddos did such a great thing; such great character."
Peter also talked to the station about his and his sister's actions, saying, "It makes me feel good that she did get it back."
