One of the greatest parts about attending church each week is getting to listen to the choir singing hymns. It's moving, with each word bringing new meaning to the song and to your life.
These songs were meant to be sung in a certain way. Their power lies in the sense of community that they create, and that is amplified by the sight and sound of a choir performing them.
No matter how young or old you might be, even if you don't quite understand the words, you can feel the meaning. Take this baby, who is so moved by what she's hearing at church that she takes it upon herself to conduct the choir. It sure is a sight to see — she's taking it so seriously!
Maybe it has something to do with the acoustics, as this guy learned when he sang inside an empty church, or maybe it really is just the power of believing that makes these songs so moving.
Whatever it is, it was certainly working for these six teens when they began singing "Amazing Grace" at Riverside County Church of Christ. It's an incredible performance of a truly beautiful song!
