They Heard Cries Coming From This Box. What They Found Left Me Speechless!

When an employee at Lowe's in New Haven, CT heard cries coming from a box outside the store, he was startled to find ten kittens, about 6 weeks old, had been abandoned.

The kittens were found dumped in a cardboard box near a clothing donation bin in the parking lot of the Lowe's and appeared to be in relatively good health despite being left without food. The worker quickly called animal control, and the cats were all taken to a local veterinarian.

They will be cared for by the Branford Compassion Club until they are old enough to be fixed and adopted. According to the animal rescue, all ten kittens are spoken for and have been placed in foster homes until they get big enough to go to their forever homes.

An investigation is currently being conducted to find out who dropped the kittens off and why they were left without their mother. The person who dumped the kittens could face charges of abandonment or cruelty.

Thanks to one person's quick thinking, these babies are going to be able to live long and healthy lives. It's good to remember that, if you ever find abandoned kittens, you should contact a local humane society or animal shelter. The sooner you can get them the proper care from professionals, the better their chance for survival.

Yesterday was INCREDIBLE! we had so many people come to see all our kittens, and fill out applications. We thank everyone for their response! We'll have an update soon for you with much more, and we could still use your help! In addition to our fantastic adult cats, do you have any idea how much food approx. 40 kittens and their mamas eat everyday? It's a LOT!! 🙂 and some of them are picky! We're putting together a list right now of what we need.. and will post it asap! All help is appreciated!! (This video is box kitens after rescue, so cute I had to post it again)
