Most Mothers Would Do ANYTHING For Their Kids, But What She Did? I’m Shocked!

They say a mother would do just about anything for her child, and in the case of Terry Jo Bichell, it couldn't be more true.

The Bichell family was overjoyed when Terry Jo gave birth to her fifth child, but they were shocked to find out that Louis had been born with a severely debilitating genetic disorder, like the one this little boy has, that has no cure. That was 16 years ago. Ever since then, Terry Jo has been on a mission only a mom could take on. She wants to find the cure that doctors can not.

In 2014, everyone was making "Ice Bucket Challenge" videos like this one to help raise funds and awareness for ALS, but Angelman syndrome is different. Up until today, I hadn't even heard of this heartbreaking disorder that causes severe developmental delay and seizures, among a long list of other characteristics.

When Terry Jo learned of the neurological disorder, she made a promise to her son and to herself that she would do everything in her ability to help find a cure. At 55 years old, Terry Jo is about to earn a PhD in neuroscience and says she will stop at nothing until she can find a cure.

"I met this baby just a couple of months ago," Terry Jo says in the following video."I was looking at that baby and I was thinking, we are going to cure that baby, we are going to cure that baby."
