He Wrote Thank You Notes For 38 Years – When You Hear Why, You’ll Be In Tears!

"Without your products I would be a fading photograph in a family album, where I would be identified as 'That was your dad. That was your grandpa.'"

Ron Brown wrote those words, words from the 38th Thank You note he's written to everyone at Medtronic, a Minnesota medical device company that created the pacemaker that first kept him alive as a young father, and continued to keep him alive to see grand children and great grand children. For many people, just one thank you note to the company that saved you would be enough, but as Ron sees it, showing his gratitude yearly is the least he can do.

"It's like we're growing old together," says one Medtronic employee, who, like hundreds of others, gathers at the yearly Christmas celebration to hear Ron's letters.

A small act of gratitude that touches many hearts, Ron's letters are a beautiful reminder of how the simple phrase – "thank you" – can mean so much.
