They're in every corner, every nook and resting underneath every tree; Lynea Lattanzio's property is covered in cats. No, she's not some "crazy" cat hoarder — she's the founder of an animal sanctuary known as "Cat House on the Kings."
The no-cage, no-kill cat rescue and adoption sanctuary sits in the middle of the state of California and provides a safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted cats and kittens. The compound even has a nursery for younger cats and a senior wing for older cats so they can live out the rest of their days in a warm, comfortable environment. The cats live on an open environment with endless amount of trees to climb, a river to cool off in, and on land that feels like it goes on for days.
In the past 22 years since its inception, The Cat House has saved over 24,000 cats and 7,000 dogs, and has spayed and neutered over 40,000 animals.
If there were more people like Lynea in this world it most certainly would be a better place. She's a hero.
