Therapy Pig Helps College Students Get Through Stressful Exams

It's easy to remember the stress that comes along with final exams in college even years after you graduate.

While many students are tasked with going through it alone, the students at Southern Methodist University in Texas are getting a little help to ease the pressure with a special therapy pig named Norman.

Sure it's not often we hear about pigs helping with therapy as much as we do other animals, but little Norman proves just how incredible these farm animals can be in making a difference.

Like the 106-pound Great Pyrenees that brings smiles to the faces of seniors at a nursing home in Texas, Norman is able to brighten up the students' days by just being himself.

Little Norman makes many of the students laugh with his special tricks, such as riding a skateboard and playing basketball. (Yes, you read that correctly!) He also takes their mind off the impending critical exams.

"It's just a really great break to my week," one of the students told local news station WFAA.

Another said, "The good vibes from the pig are transferring to my heart… I love it!"

Just watching Norman in action below will probably bring a smile to your face, too.
