If I'm blessed enough to live to see 101 years old, you can bet I'll be sitting on a recliner, kicking back and taking lots and lots of naps. LOTS. For Richard Hendrickson, he has no plans to slow down.
At 101-years-old, Richard has been volunteering for the National Weather Service for the past 84 years! Twice a day, every day, Richard measures the precipitation, wind and temperature in his New York hometown. And get this: he doesn’t even get paid for it. He's just happy to do it, because it's his passion! The NWS estimates that he’s given over 150,000 weather reports! He's such a staple of the NWS that the new 80-year Service Award is named is his honor! You go, Richard!
