At first, it looks like a normal day. For Australian couple Phil and Linda, it was a beautiful, peaceful August day — a perfect day to take the boat out and enjoy the coastline scenery, as any tourists would. Then, the unthinkable happens: Papua New Guinea's Mount Tavurvur Volcano erupts right before their eyes, and luckily they had their camera ready to do.
Notice how you can see the shock wave in the clouds before you hear the sonic boom. Incredible. And as the eruption continues on, smoke and ash wind its way up through the sky, creating an eery yet beautiful image that can only be witnessed with shock and awe.
