Before their lives had been endangered by flood water, this herd of horses — which included pregnant mares and foals — had been abandoned on wasteland and were only being fed by kind members of the public who had taken pity on them, feeding them through the fences but never able to get close enough to get them the help they needed.
Fortunately for these horses, public concern grew so much that the authorities intervened and asked the Hillside Animal Sanctuary if they could take them in. They said YES!!!
After their rescue, the herd was quarantined, medically treated and rehabilitated. Now, watch the heartwarming moment these stunning horses were released onto their new property — running into their freedom, exploring their surroundings — and it's enough to bring a tear to your eye. They're so overwhelmed with joy and excitement!
