This Nurse Went To Pay Her Bill—And Left The Diner With A HUGE Secret…

Even though she wanted to keep her decision quiet, word ended up spreading anyway — and now Kathleen Connors, a nurse from Vermont, is making news across the country.

Kathleen is a regular patron at the L&M Diner. She's also got a heart of gold. So, after she won some extra cash at a bingo game, she went to the restaurant. This is where the story gets good.

Kathleen walked up to the waitress and quietly told her that she wanted to pay for the bill… but not her bill. She wanted to pay for a father and his son, who she didn't even know.

The nurse kept her act of kindness to herself, but when the waitress explained to the father their meal had already been paid for, he and his son were inspired that they paid for another table's meal! The goodwill had a domino effect, and 45 more tables paid for other diners’ meals.

"It was a shocker," Taylor Merriam, a waitress at the diner told CNN. "It started at 7:30 in the morning and lasted until 10 (minutes) after 2, and we close at 3."

It's the deed heard 'round the diner, and I hope it spreads beyond.
