I am a big fan of working with my hands. Any time I can tackle a DIY project, I do.
I love grabbing a hammer and some nails and making something out of nothing. I find it really gratifying to build something from scratch, whether a new fence to get a little privacy or a deck in the backyard to host summer barbecues. I just grab my tools and the sky is the limit. But when I saw what this guy did with his hammer? I was floored!
Zenyk Palagniuk is originally from the Ukraine, but now lives in Dallas, TX. He was able to make one of the most impressive creations I've ever seen using only a hammer, some nails, and a whole lot of thread. Talk about creating something from scratch!
These photos of Zenyk's project show just how thinking outside of the box can lead to something absolutely incredible.

Armed with only a hammer, thread, and nails, Zenyk Palagniuk of Dallas, TX embarked on a truly incredible project that would take him over 200 hours to complete!

Beginning with a giant canvas, he drew a light sketch of what he wanted to create.

Zenyk began hammering nails into the canvas. When he began, he had no idea just how many he would actually end up using.

By the end, the grand total of nails used was well over 13,000! Soon, a face began to take shape on his canvas.

Then, Zenyk wrapped the thread around the nails to connect them in a very specific design.

Zenyk varied the thickness of the thread in certain areas in order to create different textures on his canvas.

In addition to all of the nails, he used over 15 miles of thread to create this portrait in honor of one of his favorite celebrities, Justin Timberlake!

Finally, over a week later, Zenyk was finished with his incredible nail art creation! Zenyk's impressive art has made him a viral sensation on the internet.
