Some dogs live wonderful lives with caring humans. Others, unfortunately, are not as lucky. That was sadly the case with these three beagles, who had been used in laboratory research before being abandoned in an overcrowded shelter. Their fortunes turned when they were 14, though, and the Beagle Freedom Project secured their release.
Once the dogs were released—and named Alvin, Simon, and Theodore!—the Beagle Freedom Project gave them medical care and comfort, making their golden years so much more pleasant. They also got to experience nature! This video shows these adorable pups experiencing grass for the first time. Something as simple as the grass underneath their paws brings them such happiness, and it’s amazing to watch.
It’s always fun to see animals explore different aspects of nature for the first time, and beagles are among the cutest of them all! These five beagles explored the snow during a fun winter day, and just watching them is helping me cool down from the hot summer weather. It’s also fun to see animals explore one another for the first time, like when this grown–up beagle met his baby sister—too cute!
