Tony Bennett Sings An Adorable Medley With Judy Garland On Her Show

After he fought the tail end of World War II, Tony Bennett began his musical career. In 1951, he released his first hit single, "Because of You." After that, the world was totally in love with him.

Judy Garland's career started much earlier than Bennett's when she was just a teenager. Most people know her from playing Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, but she was in tons of productions even before that. After she grew up to be an adult, she continued her career as a vocalist, an actor, and an all-around performer. From 1963 to 1964, she starred in a weekly TV show with her namesake. While The Judy Garland Show only lasted one season on CBS, the fans loved it, and many notable guests appeared to sing a song with Judy.

One of the guests who appeared on Judy's show was, you guessed it, Tony Bennett. This clip is from the fifth show out of the 26 that aired, and the two of them have a great time singing some classic songs together, all leading up to "I left My Heart in San Francisco," one of Bennett's most popular songs. Even though the show went through financial struggles from the very start, the star and this particular guest managed to put on a truly genuine performance. That is, after all, what natural-born performers do.
