Wear Your Hair Like A Top Hat With This Hilarious New Hairstyle

We know when you have a fancy event to attend, doing your hair can be a bit of a challenge.

On one hand, you'd like to try something a little different than your everyday wear, but maybe right before a big event isn't the best time to try something new. So if you're like most of us, you'll probably spend a little extra time on your everyday style.

And then there's Russian hairstylist Georgiy Kot. If you were impressed by the elaborate hair constructions of decades past, then you'll love what he can do. It's nothing short of amazing.

This style isn't exactly something you'd wear every day — or ever, unless maybe if you're a member of the British royal family — but it's impressive all the same. It involves skill that goes beyond hairstyling and more into the realms of sculpture.

Kot's short video shows an abbreviated tutorial of this over-the-top style, so check it out! You might not wear it to your next party, but it's fun to see it being created.

First, he separated the hair on the side of his model's head into five sections. We're also pretty sure a fair amount of product was used in the hair to get it to hold its shape.

The hair in the center was teased to create a small puff, and then wrapped with a smoother piece to create a cylinder.

The top of the hat was created by fanning another section across the exposed puff.

A similar fanning technique was used to create the brim.

Finally, some extra flair was added with the last section of hair, which was folded to look like feathers.

"Oh this? I wear this look all the time."

Okay, so it's a little on the silly side, but it's still really impressive! And pretty hilarious, too.
