A secret tunnel that leads to nowhere has been unearthed by Toronto Police. The entrance of the enigmatic bunker was only a few feet away from the Rexall Centre Sports and Entertainment Complex where a tennis match for the Pan American games was being held. The entrance was hidden by dirt swept over a wooden lid, but due to a large pile of excavated earth that sat next to the entrance, police suspicions were piqued.
Once inside, and ten feet underground, police began to wonder about the structure. It is three feet wide, six feet tall, and spans 33 feet. It’s also supported by lumber.
“This was built with a considerable amount of sophistication,” said Deputy Chief Mark Saunders. “The individuals responsible for building it clearly had some expertise in structural integrity.”
Yet who built it and why remains a mystery. Police have found a few clues and need your help to figure this case out…

The Toronto Police have spoken with national and international partners during their investigation into this secret chamber…

They have discovered no links to a terrorist threat hidden anywhere in this cryptic corridor, but they have found…

…food and drink containers, work gloves, a wheelbarrow, generator, gas can, light bulbs, and rosary beads with a poppy and crucifix hanging from a nail.

The site is situated in a conservation area near the tennis center and police are completely baffled by it. “I don’t have a working theory,” says Saunders. “We’re open. We go with the evidence.” But author Stephen King, who specializes in this brand of strange, has a hunch…
He went to his Twitter page to share his opinion:
