Who knew tortoises could run so fast? Thanks to the classic fable "The Tortoise And The Hare," most of us probably assumed that they were all about being slow and steady! Not this guy, look at him go and chase around that toy truck! He's really zipping around!!
In case you were wondering what the different is between a turtle and a tortoise, well according to the San Diego Zoo, a turtle spends most of it's life in water and they have webbed feet for swimming. Most turtles, fresh water or salt water, stay in the water for most of the day but do climb out onto banks, logs, rocks, or beaches to sun.
As for tortoises, like the one seen in this hilarious video, well, the zoo says that they are land-dwellers. They do not have webbed feet, in fact their feet are rather stumpy. Unlike their turtle counterparts, tortoises live in hot, dry habitats and dig burrows underground to stay cool. And now you know!
