In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, thousands of people are in need of vital aid and basic supplies. Things like food and shelter are in short supply, and any kind of donation helps.
But the resilient citizens of the affected areas in Texas are doing what's necessary to survive and help others. With many people trapped in their homes, there's a lot of room for folks like you and me to become heroes.
But an unlikely group of people saved the day practically overnight when they too were trapped inside.
A few bakers from El Bolillo Bakery spent two whole days trapped at work (which would be anyone's nightmare). But they decided to make the most of their time: They baked dozens of loaves of bread.
In fact, they baked so much, they were able to feed hundreds of people.
Now, people across the country are praising the hero bakers who went out of their way to help those in need!

El Bolillo Bakery is located in the part of Texas affected by Hurricane Harvey.

But this didn't stop bakers from clocking in at work!

A group of bakers was trapped inside for two days, but instead of lamenting the situation, they decided they could help those in need.

They made so much bread over the course of the two days, that they were able to feed hundreds of Harvey victims.

The bakers used about 2,000 kilograms of flour to make bread and pan dulce, a Mexican sweet bread.

Their generosity came not only from the goodness of their hearts but also out of worry, as they didn't know how their families were doing during the floods.

Now, their actions have gone viral, and everyone is applauding them!
