He Thinks It’s A Routine Traffic Stop, But Watch What The State Trooper Does Next…

A South Portland state trooper recently pulled over a male driver for speeding. Everything seemed normal and routine.

When he went back to the car, however, Trooper Doug Cropper realized the man was passed out and unconscious. It turns out the driver overdosed on heroin. That's when the trooper jumped into action.

The dash cam captured the heart-pounding moments that led to the victim's rescue. We've seen similar caught-on-camera footage before, like the public safety officer who pulled over a minivan, only to realize the driver was actually choking. Doug ran back to his squad car to call for assistance, then ran back to the man. An ER nurse happened to be driving by at that very moment, and stopped to help Trooper Cropper perform CPR right there on the concrete before medical crew arrived. The ER nurse and trooper took turns performing CPR. Thanks to the trooper's quick-thinking, the man is alive today.

Trooper Cropper spoke with the man hours later at the hospital, who thanked him for saving his life. The anonymous driver called the harrowing experience a "huge wake-up call" for him. I hope he gets the help he needs. God bless the heroes who saved his life. Please SHARE this remarkable rescue story with your friends on Facebook!
