Staying healthy isn't an easy thing to do: we're often surrounded by tempting foods that aren't the best for our bodies, and our jobs often keep us from moving around as much as we should. It's easy to see the pounds slowly creep up on us and pile on.
Twins Cory and Dillon Sasvari were overweight their entire lives, but each managed to keep his weight around 200 pounds. But after they graduated high school, before they knew it, they weighed a combined 800 pounds.
They felt helpless and depressed.
Then, their grandmother intervened and told them that they were the biggest she had ever seen them. They were suffering from illnesses from diabetes to gout, and they needed to make a change.
That's when they started making small changes that ended up making a huge difference. One of them was cutting out soda, and that helped them lose weight from the start.
Now, just over two years since they began their journey, they look — and feel — a whole lot differently!
Dillon and his brother Cory started their journey to better health just over two years ago when together, they weighed around 800 pounds.
They got a wake-up call from their grandmother, who told them that they were slowly getting sicker, and they needed to make a change.
They started losing weight by cutting out soda, among other unhealthy foods.
As a result, Dillon lost 50 pounds and Cory lost 70 pounds. They then each underwent gastric bypass surgery.
Since then, they've been keeping up their new, good habits, such as eating fruits, veggies, and lean meats to keep on losing the pounds.
Now, just over two years later, they're half the men they used to be.
They've lost a total of 324 pounds combined!
Losing weight is no easy feat, and these twins deserve a round of applause for their effort and dedication to bettering themselves.
