Twin Sisters Win 6 Million Dollar Lottery In California

Growing up, I always wished I could be a twin. I was probably influenced more by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's popularity than my own hope for a sisterly bond, but that did seem like a nice perk, too. Sure, my brother and I are pretty close, but not exactly "shared a womb" close. That's the one-of-a-kind connection that some people believe even leads to a psychic link between the two from day one. Based on some of the crazy stories I've heard about lookalike siblings, I would not be the least bit surprised if it was true!

In the meantime, this lucky duo, Lisa Toton and Laura Poorman from San Ramon, CA, definitely proved they share a super-strong link. The sisters have played the lottery together since they were 18-years-old. They learned the ropes from their mom who taught them several special signs to look for in order to have the best chances of winning. It was one of those signs, a yellow ladybug on her car's windshield, that led Toton to make a pit stop on her way to her son's school and grab a few scratch offs from a gas station.

It totally paid off when she realized she had won a whopping 6 million dollars! Which, thanks to their "twin rule," she will happily share with her sis in a 60/40 split. Their first big purchase as millionaires? Dinner at Fuddruckers and 20 pairs of socks!
