Baby Orangutan Is Rescued From Life In A Cage And Given A Second Chance

Sometimes life feels more difficult than we can handle. If this incredible video doesn't inspire you to keep fighting, I don't know what will.

A baby orangutan has a second chance at life today thanks to the amazing heroes at International Animal Rescue. By the time he was a few months old, Udin the orangutan had already pretty much given up on life. This baby orangutan was stolen away from his mother and forced to live as a prisoner in a cage for someone's cruel enjoyment.

Everyone knows that wild animals shouldn't be kept in cages as pets, as they need certain things they can only get in the wild. Just like Budi, who was also rescued by IAR and rehabilitated after being malnourished and mistreated, the people who bought Udin had no idea how to properly care for him.

When the IAR team found baby Udin, he was dumped in a box and was slowly detaching from life around him. Ironically, this was the best thing that could have happened to him, because the IAR team refused to let him give up and saw hope through with his sad eyes. This little orangutan has a long road ahead, but at least now we know there is a happy ending for this tiny miracle.
