Everyone has that one person in the neighborhood who just seems to make things a little bit more interesting.
These are the kinds of people who live next door and have the absolute best Christmas displays, give out the best Halloween candy to all of the children, and put in the most amount of effort to making everyone else on the whole street feel a part of something bigger than themselves!
But when one woman saw that she had two rather old trees on the brink of falling down, she knew what had to be done. She and her husband got the trees taken down, and with a tearful goodbye, they finally got rid of those two problem trees.
But with every problem tree comes something a little bit smaller, but just as annoying. A problem stump! While there are certainly a number of ways and techniques to get rid of or kill these old stumps, they always manage to put up a very impressive fight.
So instead of digging them both up, this one mom decided to do something special with them that she just knew the whole neighborhood would appreciate. And when you see what she did with both of these stumps, you'll see why she's so popular!

After cutting down two problem trees in her front yard, one mom breathed a sigh of relief. She knew that there was no longer a risk of heavy branches falling on her roof, but now she had a rather lower problem…

These big stumps just seemed like too much to deal with. She could pay a huge amount of money to get the stumps removed, but instead, she felt a moment of pure inspiration. Not just for herself, her husband and baby, but for the whole neighborhood that was surely going to enjoy what she had planned!

It took a bit of work, some creativity and some skill, but once everything was said and done, this busy mom got her yard looking exactly how she had always dreamed it to be.

A gnome home!
Now, all the gnomes will have a special place to stay whenever they come to visit.

She even thought to decorate this stump all the way around. With back windows, a nice little balcony for a gnome to stand on, and a beautiful red roof, this looks about as cozy as a tiny house you could ever wish for!

Something tells us that as the years roll by, this genius mom is going to keep adding to this already beautiful gnome home.

But what to do about the other big stump?
With the help of a local chainsaw artist named Eric, this mom was smart enough to request the tree's stump be left a bit larger than what's considered normal.

And after stripping off all the bark, it seemed like this mom had always known exactly what she wanted to do with the second bigger stump.

Eric got some pretty unique instructions, but when this mom demanded something patriotic, they seemed to both be on the same page! He got his trusty chainsaw out, climbed up his big ladder, and got to work.

It takes an incredible amount of patience and pure skill to sculpt wood using a chainsaw like this. One minor mistake or slipup could accidentally ruin the whole sculpture; not to mention this is pretty dangerous if you're not a professional.
But it seems like after a long amount of trying work, Eric finally began to shape something up together.

With the final, minor details, Eric and Mom stepped away and couldn't hold back their smiles at the beautiful creation they were looking at. But it wasn't finished yet…

With some handy spray-paint, Eric put the little details into his creation. By this point, the neighbors were incredibly intrigued with what was going on across the street!

You couldn't ask for anything better than that to see in your yard every single morning. Who knows, maybe one day this will attract a real eagle to come down to say hello to his new friend.

We all have that one person in the neighborhood who doesn't mind being unique. That person who puts up the amazing decorations and always waves hello.
I don't know about you, but this is a neighbor I wouldn't mind having!
