According to Taylor Walker, the "ultimate test" for a sailor's girlfriend is challenging them to climb to the very top of the mast on a ship. After dating Becca for six years, Taylor decided it was finally time to get her to to do it, and he decided that it was also time for another big moment in both of their lives as well.
Rather than challenge her to climb a 100-foot mast himself, Taylor enlisted the help of some others to do it form them. Staging an elaborate "contest" Becca was plucked from a crowd and told that she could win a big prize if she could make it all the way up to the top.
But while Becca made her way up the mast, she was really just buying Taylor time to prepare for the massive and amazing proposal he had been planing all along. Remembering that Becca had always said she wanted her proposal secretly filmed so she could look back on it for years to come, Taylor made sure to have photographers planted around the dock to capture all of the crazy things,(like kung fu fighters, and confetti canons), that he had set up, all ahead of time.
Like a video where another boyfriend who used a boat in a proposal to his unsuspecting girlfriend, this proposal was definitely a welcome shock for Becca, who gladly agreed to marry her sailor.
