Photographer Pierre Violle started his own form of "Trash the Dress" photography that's a marriage (pun intended) of his love for photography and scuba diving.

Trash the Dress wedding photos are taken in decidedly un-dainty environments, so brave brides can showcase their dresses and marriages in extreme settings.

They need to hold their breath between 20 and 30 seconds for Violle to get his shot.

They can also choose their various placements and poses that are personal to their relationship.

Violle has several methods to help couples relax so their faces in the photos remain unstrained.

The first method is a shot of tequila; the other is suggesting that the couples bring along a playlist of their favorite songs to relax and excite them as they dive.

He loves tailoring the trips to fit each couple's style and ability; no two sessions are ever alike!

Though it may sound a little uncomfortable to dive underwater in a wedding dress, the wedding dresses appear completely beautiful and ethereal underwater, especially with extra lace and tulle.

He also urges couples to enjoy this entire experience as well as the final photos.

"I always tell the couples it's more than just the photos at the end. It's about the whole day and the special memory you create. It's great to have the photos that make friends jealous but for the clients it's more about the experience of the shoot itself," Violle explained to Daily Mail.
