Veteran Is Reunited With Kids Who Wrote Him Letters 11 Years Ago

Our heroes in the military go through a lot. Whether they're in the middle of basic training or in the middle of a battlefield, our nation's champions sacrifice so much to allow us to live in the Land of the Free. On the toughest of days, it's hard to keep your spirits up…but Marine Anthony White had the perfect group of cheerleaders backing him up when he served in Iraq.

Proving that the smallest acts of kindness can have the greatest impact, a group of first graders wrote to this brave veteran eleven years ago when he was deployed. Their innocent words helped remind him that he had a wonderful country to come home to, and that he had plenty of people cheering him on. Just as this powerful PSA for veterans shows, the power of a few kind words is immeasurable for someone who's going through a tough time.

Little did Anthony know, those letters wouldn't be the last he heard from those first-graders. Eleven years later, they met up with the marine and read their letters again, which he had saved this whole time. Even cooler is that one of the kids (now a young man) is planning on going into the military himself. I can only imagine that seeing Anthony again must have left him just as excited as these kids who got to meet a WWII veteran!

I won't lie — this video definitely brought me to tears. I have multiple loved ones in the military, and I can only hope they receive the same love as these kids showed Anthony. What an incredible experience for everyone involved!
