It's easy for many '90s kids to get nostalgic when thinking about the early days of Nintendo. Who could forget the excitement of having Mario save Princess Peach or The Legend of Zelda's peaceful soundtrack?
While video games have changed drastically since the '80s, one thing remains the same: Fans can't get enough. The video game industry is expected to grow to $82 billion worldwide by 2017.
And, when adding up the playing time of all Call of Duty players annually, it comes out to about 475,000 years!
So, it's certainly not that crazy to learn that many gamers — both old and new — ink their favorite video games onto their skin. These tattoos aren't usually as outrageous as 3-D tattoos, and are probably not considered meaningful, like this father who has several tattoos of his son’s drawings. Yet, video game-inspired tattoos bring out the kid in any adult.
