While tiny-house living has truly taken off in recent years, campers — the original tiny houses — have been around for decades.
There is nothing quite like living or vacationing in a vintage trailer — like this 1960s camper that was transformed into a funky motel. These classic tiny houses can be some of the most original and vibrant places to set up shop.
I found this stunning camper from Sasha on Tiny House Listings. From the outside, it looks like a cool, retro camper. But the inside is even more incredible.
Sasha was able to transform this 1962 trailer from an outdated, vintage camper into a modern, one-of-a-kind tiny home. And with a space that is only 100 square feet, she truly had to use her imagination and interior design skills to get the most out of every last inch.

Made by Schiebout, this vintage 1962 camper might look like a classic from the outside, but the inside is the epitome of modern tiny-house living.
Nearly everything about the interior has been redone — from the walls and ceiling, to the electrical wiring.
This camper makes the most of every nook and cranny, allowing for ultimate comfort while traveling the country in style.
And though the camper features cool string lights, the windows actually provide the space with an enormous amount of natural light.
There is plenty of counter space and storage space, with fold-down counter surfaces, and storage inside every bench, as well as under the sink.
And easily removable storage baskets are kept in place with lovely rope guards.
The kitchen provides the perfect combination of modern and retro, with a propane stove and mini fridge underneath.
The unique sink utilizes a hand pump. Sasha writes, "Any vintage travel trailer made up to '63 did not come with an exterior water hose connection… Therefore, the hand pump is the only option."
The kitchen is finished with lovely white tiles, providing a beautiful contrast to the mint green walls and cabinets.
The sleeping space provides plenty of room for one or two people, again with storage underneath.
