Vintage furniture is a wonderful addition to any home. Even the most modern of decors can benefit from an antique here and there.
Gossip benches from back in the day are such interesting pieces of furniture. They're half bench, half table, and also called telephone benches. Folks used to sit on one and chat on the telephone with their friends and family. This was, of course, before people could talk on their phones from pretty much anywhere in the world.
Think back on what a nice ritual this must have been: setting aside a certain amount of time to actually sit in one spot and have a conversation with someone you know and love. That seems like such an odd thing to do in today's day and age, with everyone on the go!
