Man Spent 6 Hours Eating At Waffle House While Secretly Raising $1,000 Tip For His Server

Michael Carsley and his friends made a bet during their latest fantasy football season. Whoever came in last place would have to spend 24 hours inside their local Waffle House in Chamblee, Georgia. And they'd have to keep eating waffles.

When Michael ended up losing, he decided to share his waffle-eating session on social media, scarfing down his food live and in real time.

Every consumed waffle meant one less hour he had to spend at the restaurant. He was able to finish 18 waffles (which came out to a total of $50), which meant he spent nearly six hours being served by the same Waffle House employee.

Michael described his one-man eating contest as a grueling experience and the most uncomfortable he's ever been.

But his loss in fantasy football ended with a heartwarming twist, and he says it was all worth it.

What the hardworking server didn't know was that Michael had decided to take his livestream one incredible step further — by hosting a virtual fundraiser for her over the course of his six-hour visit.
